Do not sell my personal information
At Slokie, we do not sell your information, and we try to only work with vendors that have the same policy. However, we do use various social media platforms for advertising, and they integrate with our store the same way they do most Shopify stores. Where there are options, we select the most conservative options for data sharing, which replaces personally identifiable information with identifiers.
With that said, we can't be 100% what these social media giants, Shopify, or any of the third-party vendors that we have to use for certain backend functionality, such as image uploads, reviews, etc. comply with all the requirements of the California Consumer Privacy Act, so we're enabling this feature for those that live in California, just to be safe.
Your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with rights regarding how your data or personal information is treated. Under the legislation, California residents can choose to opt out of the “sale” of their personal information to third parties. Based on the CCPA definition, “sale” refers to data collection for the purpose of creating advertising and other communications. Learn more about CCPA and your privacy rights.
